Team size and composition:
A team shall consist of two, three, four or five members.
A team that has a member under fourteen years of age shall also have a member eighteen years of age or over.

Junior fees are based on the age of the individual team members (under 23 years of age on the day of competition).
All entries require payment by credit card at time of entry.
- Standard entries close Monday May 25th.
- Late entries: Tuesday May 26th - Monday June 8th.
- No entries after Monday June 8th.
* Those with an annual "Friends of the Park" subscription can request a refund of the park entry fee by filling out form: Heights of Winter 2026 Changes & Requests
Refund Policy:
- Refund of 90% of fees paid for withdrawals prior to standard entry fee close date (Monday May 25th).
- Refund of 75% of fees paid for withdrawals after standard entry fee date and before late entry close date (Monday June 8th).
- No refund after Late entry close date.
- To notify withdrawal from a race, fill out form: Heights of Winter 2026 Changes & Requests
- Refunds will be processed after the event.
Competition categories are as follows:
i) Three gender classes of competition:
- Men (all team members must be male)
- Women (all team members must be female)
- Mixed (teams must contain at least one female and one male)
ii) Five age categories of competition within each gender class:
- Open (no age restriction)
- Junior (all team members must be under 23 years of age on the day of competition)
- Veteran (all team members must be 40 years of age or over on the day of competition)
- Super Veteran (all team members must be 55 years of age or over on the day of competition).
- Ultra Veteran (all team members must be 65 years of age or over on the day of competition).
